Rice Krispie Treats are one of our family’s all-time favorite desserts and we’ve played around with the classic recipe for as long as we can remember. This recipe starts with browning butter until it develops deep, nutty notes and turns a beautiful, speckled brown color. We then add jumbo marshmallows and melt until completely smooth. A splash of vanilla extract is a must and then the elbow grease comes into play. Quickly stirring the perfect ratio of cereal to mallow mix is where the magic happens. Once set, squares are sliced, and happiness begins! (Can you tell we are a little passionate about these?!)
