Our Chocolate-Coconut Mounds Cake begins with Devil’s Food Cake (an ultra dark chocolate cake) made with three cocoa powders for those deep chocolate notes. The cake is an oil based recipe, which makes it perfectly moist, and gets a dose of fresh brewed coffee to enhance the chocolate experience! We then mound on each cake layer a creamy coconut pastry cream with desiccated coconut (a super fine shredded coconut) and frost the exterior with Coconut Swiss Buttercream. A crunchy boarder of chocolate jimmies finishes this cake!
